LOCATION:
The Royal Botanic Garden is located just north-west of the Edinburgh city centre.
Edinburgh is an extremely popular tourist destination in summer, especially during the Edinburgh Fringe festival which runs the entire month of August. We recommend that you book accommodations early!
GROUP BOOKING OPTION:
We have a set of rooms booked at Pollock Hall (single room student dorm accommodations) available for guests. Please let us know via the RSVP if you would like to book one or more of these rooms.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD OR A PLUS ONE?
Our guest numbers for the ceremony are limited. If you wish to bring partners or children, please let us know. We have a much higher capacity at the evening reception.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A KILT?
There's no requirement to wear a kilt, but if you are visiting and would like to rent one, Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers and Slater Menswear are recommended options. Nicholsons is giving 10% discount to the Kevin / Michelle wedding party.
ARE THE GARDENS ACCESSIBLE?
Yes. Most of the garden including the buildings where dinner and the reception will be held are accessible to wheelchairs.
CAN I GIVE A GIFT?
We don't have any gift registry but there will be laisee (利是) at the reception if you wish to contribute to our Honeymoon.
WILL THERE BE ANY EVENTS BEFOREHAND?
We have a lot of visitors coming from overseas. We will share some suggestions for things to do and pre-wedding events later. Join the whatsapp group for more information (link is on the RSVP).
